Stokely Carmichael was born on June 29, 1941 in Trinidad and Tobago and died on November 15, 1998. He founded Black Power. Black Power is a political movement when black people wanted to be equal and, further more, thought they were superior to white people. He led the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, who were African American students using non violent protest. He was the prime minster of the Black Panther Party and also went on Freedom Rides.
